A Summary Of The Ramadan Iftar Process 2022

Ramadan of 2022 was exceptional in every way. It was marked by additional help from benefactors and partners as well as marked with great appreciation for our work from various parties, as substantiated by our outreach to more beneficiaries and the echoes of our work amongst the social circles and media outlets.
Not only did Ayora Foundation successfully provide iftar to orphans in select shelters in the greater Casablanca communities while partnering with other relief organizations (i.e. Association Initiative Al Amal pour l’Integration Sociale), but the foundation continued to provide food throughout the month to families in need, targeting areas with low income per capita, a standalone operation solely managed and completed by the Ayora Foundation. The iftar consisted of well-balanced meals adhering to the nutritional needs of children of all sizes and ages, therefore ensuring the fulfillment of our mission and strategic vision. As far as the day-to-day food distributions go, Ayora continues focusing on providing the poor with everyday household items such as grains, cooking oil, condiments, etc. As specified in prior submissions, the basket ranges from 40 to 50 US Dollars’ worth of goods.

As summer approaches, the necessities will begin to change as our direction will look to meet the regional demands of impoverished areas once again, as the foundation has in the past. Ayora is currently in development talks with regards to digging and providing clean water wells, as the demand for water rises in the summer especially during a drought year like 2021-2022. There are various locations in need of water as anyone may imagine, therefore, the location and target areas are still under analyses to establish the community with the highest needs and furthest proximity from a drinking water source. As we complete our thorough research, we will be providing more information on the location of our next mission and the specific details of the well construction.
