Eid El Adha El Mubarak

aid adha el moubarak

It seems as though it’s been a while since our last entry in June 2022 but we are once again excited to announce the completion and closure of yet another successful operation: “2022 Sheep Donation”, in celebration and in light of Eid Adha el Mubarak which passed this Sunday 10/07/2022.

As the tradition of Udhiya/Qurbani suggests, the donation of a sheep in 2022 or the equivalent (1/7 of cow) which feeds up to 10 families, or one family over a long period of time, as administered by the Ayora Foundation, was attained with great use of bargaining strategies, while purchasing only from trusted and renowned sources. This year we have supplied dozens of sheep to various impoverished areas therefore bringing a smile to many who couldn’t afford their own sacrificial lamb given the economic impacts felt everywhere in the world. The Quran says :

“That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of cattle. So eat of them and feed the poor.”

Eid El Adha for us isn’t just about celebrating with loved ones and enjoying family time over fresh meat meals, but also about sharing with others and ensuring that everyone celebrates the eid as we all do, and therefore doing our share of bringing smiles to all who find it hard to feed their own.

While certain organizations adhere to inflated pricing for Udhiya donation, whereas the asking price of a sheep donation is well around 400 American Dollars, Ayora foundation has used leverage techniques along with wholesale cost savings to purchase Dozens of lambs at below the suggested retail pricing therefore providing more than well established foundations with lesser resources.
